• Is a City of London Guide and City of Westminster Guide
• Won the prize on his City of London Guiding Course for the best performance in the practical test
• Was awarded a Distinction on his City of Westminster Guiding Course
• Is former Chair of City of Westminster Guide Lecturers Association
• Is a Life Member of London Historians
• Is a solicitor (now non-practising) and former managing partner of a City law firm
• Holds an MBA
• Holds a Masters in Historical Research
